Animal Description:

Also commonly known as the Ariege Pointer, or the Braque de Toulouse, the Braque D'Ariege is a medium-sized French gun dog with workman-like build and persistent personality.

The average mature Braque D'Ariege will grow to a height between 23 and 26 inches and weigh between 55 and 66 pounds, with females being slightly smaller. Its coat should be smooth and short, with fine hairs. Coat colors vary from white with orange marking to white with chestnut marking. Some will also have ticking. Their eyes are dark brown, and their long ears droop over the sides of their heads.

Braque D'Arieges were originally bred in a French province called Ariege, from which they garnered their names.
