The Budyonny Horse is a large horse that is well suited for sporting. Their high spirits and undemanding nature make them a pleasure to own and care for.

The Budyonny is known for its great spirit and drive. They are very dedicated and hard workers. As a military horse, the Budyonny was known for its extreme bravery. It has a quite disposition and a good temperament. Budyonny Horses are best suited as riding horses, due to their height. Also, due to their stamina and strength, they make great sporting horses, and are often used in equestrian events.

The Budyonny horse is a beautiful creature. Most of its body is colored in chestnut brown, with gray, bay, brown, or black shades. Some of the rare breeds are pure black or brown. A Budyonny Horse will grow to be roughly 15 to 16 hands tall, with well-built muscles and bones. The head of the Budyonny is well proportioned and straight.

The Budyonny Horse is originally from the former Soviet Union. They were cross-bred from the Russian Don and the English Thoroughbred. They were developed as military horses, which would have such traits as strength, stamina, obedience, speed, and the ability to jump. The Budyonny gets its name from the person who originally bred the horse for Calvary, Marshal Semen Budyonny.
